We provide comprehensive legal assistance on maritime legal matters like investigating, negotiating and litigating all types of maritime claims, including vessel collision, oil pollution, salvage, cargo, general average and maritime insurance claims. We advise clients on charter-party related matters and dispute resolution matters related thereto, obtaining or challenging vessel arrests and exercise of maritime liens, exercising liens on cargo to secure freight or demurrage. We also help our clients in drafting, negotiating and reviewing charter-party agreements and shipping agency agreements. We have also been successful in enforcing bank mortgage against the ship in India and recovering dues for a Foreign Bank in India.

The Firm has been awarded, year on year, by India Business Law Journal as the Indian Law Firm of 2019 and 2020 in the area of Maritime ad Shipping.

We are the contributors to the shipping law guide on the topic of ‘Ports and Terminals’ published by ‘Getting the Deal Through’ which is the official research partner of the International Bar Association. Further, our Founder and Managing Partner, Mr. Krrishan Singhania, has completed a specialised course on Shipping Law organised by Llyod’s of London and conducted by maritime professionals and professors from University of Southampton. He brings his international experience to the practice of the Firm.
