Highlights of Professional Journey

Ms. Avni Singhania specializes in the niche area of Educational Law. She has also practiced in the field of commercial arbitration and mediation, intellectual property rights and employment and labour laws. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked at the Delhi and Gurgaon office of Singhania & Co LLP under the mentorship of her late grandfather Mr. D.C. Singhania. Her previous work experience largely dealt with Universities in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. She has advised and assisted them to deal with the respective State Government and with students. In the process she has also looked after the various litigations for such universities. She has also worked on drafting labour law policies for private companies and assisted, drafted and reviewed contracts for her clients. Clients have appreciated her legal research and analysis and coming up with a practical legal solution as well as out of the box thinking.

With her vision and mission to run her own firm and make it a value creating place in today’s time as well as to mentor the youth of today making them capable individuals she is now joined her father’s brainchild K Singhania & Co At the Firm, she has been assisting and advising clients in protecting and registering their intellectual property rights, especially trademarks, industrial design and copyright. She also assists clients in drafting and sending cease and desist notices to the infringing party, and represents clients in trademark and copyright infringement suits. She also continues to pursue her passion for litigation and becoming a Senior Counsel in the near future.

Being a trained mediator, she strongly believes in getting the litigating parties together so that they can come up with a win-win solution, which is the very core of her life philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism. On the personal front she also runs her small venture called ‘tokushu’ to rekindle the joy of handmade cards in today’s digital age.
