Ms. Anjana Devi specializes in Corporate law, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws, intellectual property rights, general commercial litigation. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked at A.K. Mylsamy & Associates LLP, Chennai. Her previous work experience includes: advising and assisting in matters involving oppression and mismanagement in a company; working on insolvency proceedings of a company; and advising and assisting clients in registration, objection and opposition of trademark.
With respect to the corporate and insolvency laws practice, she regularly assists clients in drafting and reviewing their applications initiating corporate insolvency resolution proceedings, applications for and against oppression and mismanagement happening in a company. With respect to the intellectual property law practice, she advises clients regarding possibility and nuances in getting their trademark registered and compliance against objection or opposition raised against the same.
She also represented clients in various corporate/contractual/commercial disputes before the National Company Law Tribunal Mumbai & Chennai, Madras High Court, City Civil Courts and Metropolitan Magistrate courts of Chennai. She has presented a lot of articles in the areas of Cyber law, Medico legal, Taxation law, and got published in various Law journals of Law Universities.
Apart from her professional career, she has a great passion and a strong profound knowledge in Tamil Literature. She has learnt a lot of Tamil literature like Thirukkural, Silapadhikaram, Moodhurai, Aathichoodi, Kambaramayanam, other ‘Tamil Needhi noolgal’. She has also addressed more than 200 stages so far on several topics during important occasions. For her profound knowledge in Tamil Literature she has been awarded the “National Award” for the year 2005 from the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. At the age of 14, she penned down her own book of Commentary on Thirukkural which was published in Tamil Nadu by IPS Officer Dr. C. Sylendra Babu. She has written a lot of Tamil poems and articles in several state and district level competitions and bagged prizes. She was awarded state first in poem reciting competition in the year 2006 and received felicitation from then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu renowned leader Kalaignar Dr. M. Karunanidhi. She was felicitated for her achievements by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, CBI Mr. Karthikeyan, Current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin, Mr. Vairamuthu, Vai Gopalsamy (Vaico). and a lot of other renowned Tamil poets. She has received a lot of awards and felicitations from several organisations and associations.
